Our founding fathers fought Britain for independence.  They argued over how our government should run and abolitionists died for the freedom of the colored.  Women activists died just so us, women, can vote and have a voice.

Today, only 30% of our population votes.  Our generation doesn’t give a fuck about politics or what the fuck is going on.  Sure it doesn’t matter who our president is, because they’re all the same anyway.  They’re just an national icon.  They have limited power.  They just introduce ideas and everyone around them has the power to say if it’s a good idea or not.  And I need not say more, because we all went to school and know how the gov’t works.  I’m just saying that it’s a big deal and that we should probably learn to pay attention to it more.

I’m not saying that people of our generation should be overly patriotic and shit.  ’Cause that shit gets annoying sometimes, too.  I just wish that you all appreciated what privileges you have now and, at least, pay attention.

To be honest, we’re all greedy mother fuckers.  We will only learn until something bad happens.  Why must we wait ‘til something bad happens when we can do something about it now?

This probably didn’t make any sense.  I cannot fathom the words.  What I’m trying to say is that I am afraid of what our country will become.  A large amount of us have been brain washed by the media, etc.

I think the only thing I can say now is don’t be stupid.  Get a good education and do something the benefits the world in a positive way.

And after much deliberation, I’ve narrowed down what I want to be when I grow up.  And hopefully becoming one of these things will give me an opportunity to help the world be a better place.
