E-friends > IRL friends
I can’t believe I had to put on a facade that I cared about appearance just to fit in with a group that cared about appearance so much. I feel like if I’m around those kind of people more than I already am, I will eventually become one of them. Like they say, birds of the same feather flock together. And the worse part is that I already knew to distant myself from people like that, yet I chose to stick around. Ha!
It’s easy to make friends online with people you’ve never met. Not that it’s a better or safer option. It’s just easier.
They at least somewhat understand you.
